How Matching Gifts Work
1. Make a Gift to ICAN
Start by making a donation to ICAN. If you give online, you’ll have the opportunity to provide your employer information and explore matching gift opportunities.
2. Check Your Gift’s Eligibility
Find out if your employer offers a matching gift program and review their eligibility requirements, matching amounts, and submission deadlines.
3. Submit Your Matching Gift Request
If your gift is eligible, follow your employer’s instructions to submit a matching gift request.
4. Your Employer Reviews Your Request
Your employer will review the request and verify that your donation meets its matching gift guidelines.
5. Your Employer Matches Your Gift
Once approved, your employer sends a matching contribution to ICAN, increasing the impact of your original gift.
