🎉 Client Spotlight: Albert 🎉
Albert spent a full year building strong customer service skills through our Supported Employment program at Target, showing up consistently and putting in the work. When an opportunity opened up at CMA Dishmachines, he didn’t hesitate.
Now Albert is thriving as a Machine Assembler, combining his love for hands-on work with the professional growth he’s been working toward all along.
We’re so proud of your dedication and progress, Albert. Congratulations on this exciting next chapter 👏

Huge shoutout to Wally and Carolyn Graves, an incredible volunteer duo who truly embody what it means to give back. Wally has been serving with ICAN since 2024 and encouraged Carolyn to jump in during 2025 and we are so glad she did. Together, they volunteered at five events, showed up individually as well, and wrapped up the year celebrating with our clients at the Client Holiday Party.
125+ hours of service together is no small thing. Thank you, Wally and Carolyn, for your time, heart, and commitment to our ICAN community. We are so grateful for you. 💙

We’re still celebrating the success of our End of Year @icancoffee Fundraiser ☕️
Not only did we reach our $50,000 goal, we exceeded it, raising $51,892!
Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this possible. Because of you, we’re one big step closer to launching the ICAN Coffee Shop at the Torrance Public Library.

Join us for a FREE Social Rec Workshop at ICAN Long Beach 💙
This workshop is designed for individuals with disabilities, families, and caregivers who want to better understand the Self Determination Program and how to work with community programs through SDP.

⏰ 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
📍 ICAN Long Beach
We’ll cover how SDP works, how funding can be used, how to partner with community organizations, and share helpful resources in both English and Spanish. Dinner will be provided, and translation is available upon request.
This is a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, and feel more confident navigating Social Recreation through SDP.

❄️ Calling all Winter Camp Volunteers ❄️
Are you compassionate, caring, and ready for an unforgettable experience? We are looking for volunteers to join us for both weekends of ICAN Winter Camp in Big Bear and help create weekends filled with joy, connection, and winter fun.
As a volunteer, you will build meaningful relationships with our campers through games, crafts, outings, laughter, and shared snowy memories. It is hands on, impactful, and incredibly rewarding.
📍 Location: Big Bear
📅 Winter Camp Weekends:
• January 22nd–25th
• February 5th–8th
We are seeking volunteers for both weekends, so whether you can join us for one or both, we would love to have you.

We are so excited about our new ICAN Redondo Beach garden and we could not have done it without the incredible support of Special Children’s League 🌱
Our clients have loved not only the beautiful new environment, but the hands on opportunity to plant, grow, and care for something together. There is so much excitement watching seeds turn into delicious greens, building patience, responsibility, and pride along the way.
