Thank you to the @portoflongbeach for sponsoring ICAN’s 2026 Winter Camps! Because of your support, our campers enjoyed unforgettable bowling and sledding activities filled with fun, connection, and joy. We’re so grateful for your partnership in making so many incredible moments possible!
Sunshine, ocean air, and a whole lot of smiles ☀️🌊
Our Local Explorer crew soaked up the afternoon at Santa Monica Pier, enjoying the views, the breeze, and the simple joy of exploring together. Days like this are all about connection, confidence, and discovering the beauty right in our own backyard.
January Winter Camp may not have brought the snow, but it brought all the fun ❄️💙
From making new friends to unforgettable adventures, our crew packed the weekend with bowling, tubing, adaptive skiing, ziplining, dance parties, and so much more. Proof that the best memories aren’t made by the weather, they’re made by the people.
We’re already counting down the days until February Winter Camp… let’s do it all over again ⛄️✨

Happy Birthday to our very own Job Development Supervisor, Mike Karle 🎉🎂
Not only is today Mike’s birthday, fun fact he is ICAN’s very first employee ever. Talk about OG status.
We asked a longtime ICAN teammate to share a few words, and Chris H. nailed it.
“He’s dedicated a significant portion of his career years to serving the special needs community. He is devoted to the clients he serves, offering honesty, transparency, and kindness. Not only is he an awesome job developer & lead, he is one of the raddest drummers and golfers. He brings the same energy from his hobbies into his career, which absolutely increases the chances of his clients getting jobs. He has a passion for coffee and his pups, and is a stand up husband. Mike is a solid dude who truly cares for others.”
Mike, we are so grateful for your continued investment in ICAN and the incredible community we serve. The lives you have impacted, from clients to business partners, run deep and wide. ICAN is better because of you.
Happy Birthday, Mike 🎉☕🐶🥁⛳
It’s all about experiencing culture together 🇯🇵🪘
Recently in Japanese Culture Club, clients celebrated Japanese New Year traditions through games like fukuwarai, kendama, and daruma-otoshi, then took part in a special taiko drumming experience.
For many, it was their first time playing a drum. Trying something new. Playing alongside friends. Feeling excited, nervous, and proud.
With @lataikoichiza and kizunataiko.la sharing the history and joy of taiko, clients were reminded that taiko is for everyone. Easy to try, powerful to feel, and meant to be shared.
“The funnest day ever!”
It’s all about the details ✨
At ICAN Long Beach, our creative side is thriving with the launch of two brand-new art clubs: Eco Art and Mix & Pour Ceramics. From thoughtful textures to hands-on techniques, these clubs give clients fresh ways to express themselves, build connections, and dive into the joy of making something meaningful together.
Creativity lives in the little things, and we’re loving every detail.
