Summer camp is going to look a little brighter this year, thanks to our friends at @Toyota. Their team recently organized a supply drive for our campers, filling boxes with sunscreen, bug spray, water balloons, wet wipes, and more. They didn`t just drop everything off, they came out to tour our programs and meet the clients whose summer they helped make possible.
Moments like this remind us how much community support shapes what we`re able to offer. Thank you, Toyota, for showing up for our clients in such a generous, hands on way.
Local Explorer hit the Walt Disney Concert Hall this week, and we`re pretty sure a few future performers were in the building. 🎶 From architecture appreciation to full main character energy on stage, this group showed up ready to explore.
Animal Appreciation Club took a trip to @rancho_los_alamitos last week, a beautiful space where barn animals are loved and cared for. Clients met Preston, a rare-breed warhorse, and reunited with a familiar favorite, a donkey named Frank. The visit also included a special treat, watching a blacksmith shape metal into animal art right before their eyes.

Two sites. One good time. 🙌 Socialization Club brought Long Beach and Torrance together and they made some memories, and we have the photos to prove it. At ICAN we’re all about making!

At this year’s Garden Party, we are so proud to share that together, we raised $107,000 through ticket sales, the silent auction, event sponsorships, the ICAN Shop, donations, and more. That kind of support means the world to everyone here at ICAN.

Showing up for the communities that show up for us. 🌿 Clients from our Long Beach and Torrance locations hit the parks and beaches for community cleanups, because caring for the people around you is something you do, not just something you talk about. This is what it looks like when our community takes care of its community.
The scoreboard kept score. Our players kept community. 🏀
When the ICAN Social Program Sports League brought South Bay and Long Beach together for an exhibit game recently, something special happened on the court. Sure, there were shots made and points scored, but what stood out most was the encouragement. Players cheering for each other, celebrating big moments, no matter which side of the court they came from.
That`s the spirit we`re building here, and we can`t wait to see where it goes.
