When you don`t realize your day out doubles as an album cover shoot 🎶 Our clients recently explored Cabrillo Beach and the Korean Friendship Bell, and honestly, the photos speak for themselves. Between the coastline and the landmark, the group dug into conversations about local history, culture, and why preserving spaces like these matters for the whole community. Days like this are what the ICAN community is all about: getting out, learning together, and discovering something new about the places we call home. 🌊

Our second Social Recreation Resource Fair is here, and it’s free for the whole family. Meet the organizations offering social recreation, art, music, sports and fitness, camps, clubs, outdoor adventures, and programs that accept Self-Determination Program funding, all in one place.

Meet Faren, whose confidence has been growing right alongside her barista skills at Coffee Cart Club. ☕
These days, Faren does more than make drinks. She walks her peers through each step, sharing what she has learned so they can grow too. Recently she made a Frappuccino entirely on her own, start to finish, and you could see the pride in every part of it.
With steady eye contact and warm, genuine customer service, Faren is proving something to herself: she is fully capable of becoming a barista. And honestly, she already is one. 💙
What a night it was. Last year`s inaugural ICAN TopGolf Classic was filled with community, games, a little friendly competition for those who wanted it, delicious food and beverages, raffles, and so much more, all while supporting the ICAN programs that make a difference every single day. It was such a huge success that we couldn`t wait to do it again, and now our 2nd annual event is almost here. Swing by, cheer each other on, and be part of a night that gives back. Long Beach is casting off with a brand new Fishing Club! 🎣
Week by week, clients will pick up the essentials: setting up gear, casting a line, baiting a hook, and learning to spot the local fish. Along the way, they will also learn water safety and a real respect for the environment that keeps our coast thriving.
The best part? By the end, clients will have the confidence to head out and fish on their own or cast a line alongside friends. 💙

Every journey looks a little different, and Kevin`s has been all his own. 🎉
Kevin started in job development, then took the time to explore what worked best for him. Through Tailored Day Services and volunteer work, he built skills, gained confidence, and discovered his strengths along the way.
This May, Kevin returned to job development ready for the next step. And by June, he had landed a data entry position at PC Hobbies!
Kevin`s path is a reminder that growth happens on your own timeline, and every step forward counts.

Summer Camp is all the vibes, all the time. If you are here, you are having the time of your life. If you are not, well, you are probably wishing you were. Camper, volunteer, staff, no matter your role, camp has a way of pulling everyone into the fun and sending them home with a full heart and a favorite new memory. This is what community looks like, and we would not trade these moments for anything.

⚽ The World Cup may be over, but soccer season is still going strong with ICAN Social Program sports!
Our soccer league is in full swing, and the energy on the field is unmatched. Whether you are a seasoned player or lacing up your cleats for the very first time, there is a spot for you here. Skill level does not matter one bit. What matters is that our clients are showing up, learning new moves, building friendships, and having an absolute blast together.
Every pass, every goal, and every high five is a win in our book. This is what community looks like! 🙌
