Let’s hear it for Andy 🔥👨🍳
He’s been absolutely crushing it in Cooking Club! From independently tracking down ingredients to confidently completing recipe steps and cheering on his peers, Andy is stepping up in a big way.
The confidence. The initiative. The growth.
Now that’s what we call a recipe for success 👏💥
Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at ICAN! ❤️
Yesterday, our ICAN Redondo crew celebrated in the sweetest way with festive fun, lots of smiles, and time spent building friendships and sharing appreciation for one another. This little recap is just a glimpse of the joy that filled the room.
From our ICAN family to yours, we’re wishing you a Valentine’s Day full of love, laughter, and meaningful connection. 💕
Since 2016, Christopher has been part of the ICAN community, and we couldn’t be prouder of his growth. 🙌
He was recently recognized by the team at Whole Foods for the incredible progress he’s made on the job. With consistent support from his job coach and his own dedication, Christopher continues to thrive in the workplace.
Way to go, Christopher! 💚
Cue the slow motion montage. Arms pumping. Wind in the hair. Dramatic soundtrack playing.
Okay but let’s be clear… this 5K is not that serious 😄
You don’t have to be a “runner.” You don’t even have to run. Walk it. Roll it. Stroll it. This is all about showing up for a great cause.
Join Team ICAN at the LA 5K on March 7 at Dodger Stadium and help support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each participant commits to a $200 fundraising goal, and our team will help you get there.
Slow motion vibes optional.
Making an impact required.

February Winter Camp showed up and showed out ❄️🙌
We bowled, tubed, zip-lined, danced like nobody was watching, and even hit the slopes for a little snowboarding this time. New friendships were formed, confidence was built, and the laughs were nonstop all weekend long.
There’s something special about getting away together, trying new things, and cheering each other on every step of the way.
Winter Camps, you’ve officially outdone yourselves 💙
Stairs that feel like a movie set. Neon signs. Historic brick. The smell of fresh tacos and coffee in the air.
The Long Beach Local Explorers spent the day wandering through the iconic Bradbury Building and grabbing bites at Grand Central Market, soaking in the architecture, culture, and energy that make LA so special.
We love these outings because they are more than field trips. They are moments of connection. To each other. To new experiences. And to the communities that surround us.
There is something powerful about exploring together. About seeing beauty in old buildings, tasting something new, and realizing we belong in every corner of our city.
Where should the Local Explorers go next?
💖 Thank you for such an amazing Valentine’s Bingo event 💖
We’re still smiling thinking about last week and how special it was to see so many people come together in support of ICAN Redondo. The energy, the laughs, and yes, the friendly competition made it such a fun and meaningful afternoon.
We know we already shared some photos, but who doesn’t love a little video recap too? 🎥 Here are a few highlights from the day that capture just how much joy was in the room.
Now we want to hear from you…
Should we do Bingo again next time? Or switch it up with Bunko? 👀💌
